There is nothing that irritates us more than having someone steal a recyclable item to make a quick buck at the expense of the person who purchased the item at the full price. Today in the morning I got a voice mail from a man in the Los Angeles area who had his copper gate stolen. It was a one of a kind item and he lost it all because of someones greed. Copper is not gold its worth about 3 dollars a POUND and yet someone decided to steal it and make a quick book at the suffering of someone else.
If you have any type of metal item you don’t want stolen do not leave it in plain sight. Metal Commodities are fetching a higher price and a lot of people are unfortunately stealing metal goods.
Occasionally these metal thiefs will claim they think its trash but most of the time they know they should be asking first. I had one of these scrappers steal a bucket for my tractor luckily I was able to catch them afterwards and make him pay for my loss.
I encourage everyone to be careful! Things like copper gutters, utility cable, are all targets!

One of the best things about hauling junk is probably how happy you make people. People are extremely happy when they clear things out. Many have described their new found space as a “blank canvass”.
